TRANSPORT ADMINISTRATOR: (PART TIME) - Salary: COMPETITIVE -

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven individual who enjoys a challenge and wants to work part of a team, delivering high levels of customer service.

This role would suit someone who is happy to be office based and is keen to organise and support colleagues whilst happy to work to deadlines. You will need to possess strong computer skills and have fabulous oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail is important as is your ability to manage your own work load and prioritise. This is a busy role and if you are keen and focused, you will be, at some stage, given more independent projects.

A friendly, happy team player will fit in well here as will someone with a general curiosity and interest in administration, payroll and accounts. The role is initially temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

 
  • Answer incoming calls and maintain a rapid response rate according to agreed standard
  • Handling telephone enquiries from customers, taking clear messages and relaying them effectively
  • Allocate jobs to drivers and ensuring all deliveries are made correctly and on time.
  • Filing, data input, information gathering, resolving queries and word processing
  • Checking emails & faxes for incoming enquiries or orders
  • Quoting prices on deliveries, either by phone, email or fax
  • Providing a quick & efficient service to customers
  • Establishing a good customer relationship.

Specific Requirements:

 
  • Must process excellent numeracy skills
  • First class communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate proven customer service experience
  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence
  • A good team player with a flexible approach, good time management, highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and multi task- whilst demonstrating drive and a positive approach to work and continuous improvement
  • Take a positive and proactive approach to work
  • Demonstrate good organisation and co-ordination skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Languages desirable
